What It Takes to Become a Successful Baby Boomer Entrepreneur

Are you a baby boomer who’s worked for the same company for years and years, and felt as if you’ve not been as successful as you would have liked? How would you define success? If you do not consider yourself successful yet, what are you willing to do to succeed? Do you really want to succeed, do you have that desire? It’s really easy to say YES without thinking about what goes into your answer. If you really want to be successful, do you have the passion and desire to make it happen?

Saying YES and truly meaning it indicates that you have a strong will and a drive and determination to succeed. Because, as you know, success is not an off-the-shelf product. You can’t just Google it and order if off of Amazon, or run down to the corner store and buy a bag of it.

You have to have the perseverance and guts to never give up until you get what you want. If you don’t have the drive to go the extra mile, you might want to rethink your journey to success. However, if you feel you have it, then start out with a central focus. Decide what it is that you really want to do. Is it to provide a better life for you and your family? Or is it a house, a car or some other tangible property? Do you have a burning need to resolve world hunger or promote going green. Whatever it is, you first have to focus, and then decide on an action plan to achieve it.

Everyone defines success in a different way. Some say it is wealth and power, others think it is more time for yourself and your family. No matter what it means to you, success should enable you to not have to worry about paying bills, and to be able to spend time doing the things that you want to do. It should provide you with a calm assurance that your future is taken care of, and you will no longer have to depend on others for your bread and butter.

Starting a home-based internet marketing business is just one way to help you realize your goals and achieve success. Defining your own schedule, making your own decisions and having more time to spend with family, and friends is a great way for those of who want to continue working, but on your own terms. Home-based businesses offer baby boomers more freedom and control to help them supplement their retirement income or replace a primary income.

At the ripe old age of 73, Dr Charlie Smithdeal discovered that he had lost his entire savings after spending many years as a successful surgeon. He’d made some bad financial decisions in the course of his life, and found he had lost the money he had hoped to live off in his retirement.
